13. Michael Jacksonā€™s Thriller

Michael Jackson's Thriller music video (short film), directed by John Landis, is a groundbreaking fusion of music and cinematic storytelling that showcases Jackson's iconic dance moves amidst a spine-chilling narrative and vibrant zombie choreography. Released in 1983, this 14-minute visual masterpiece combines horror and pop culture, revolutionizing the music video industry and leaving a lasting legacy in the world of entertainment. The 3D version of Thriller released in 2018 to a select IMAX theaters. We wonā€™t directly comment about the sexual allegations made against Michael Jackson, but he made thriller, and thriller is an all time classic.

9. Parasite (1982)

2. Dawn of the Dead (1979)

1. Jaws (1975 original movie)

In Steven Spielbergā€™s Jaws (1975), a small coastal town is terrorized by a massive great white shark that preys on unsuspecting beachgoers. 13. WORLD WAR Z (2013)

A PG-13 Zombie flick starring Brad Pitt that is set in the same universe as the Max Brooks novel. Gary Lane (Brad Pitt) is a globetrotting UN employee who is trying to stop the zombie pandemic. This movie has good 3D and has a fast moving story.


12. THE MAZE (1953)

This movie is about a man who abruptly breaks off his engagement and moves into a inherited castle. The former FiancƩe investigates this spooky mystery. I guarantee the ending will surprise you. This movie has some great 3D and is very interesting.


11. IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE (1953)

Richard Carlson stars as a schoolteacher and amateur stargazer. Richard witnesses a spaceship crash to earth that he at first believes is a meteorite. This movie has many pop out 3D scenes and it overall has great 3D visuals. 


10. THE MAD MAGICIAN (1954)

This is another 1950ā€™s Vincent Price 3D movie.  This is more or less a black & white cash grab made after House of Wax's success. Regardless this is rousing good show with great 3D.


9. REVENGE OF THE CREATURE (1955)

The only 1950ā€™s 3D movie to get a 3D sequel. This movie isnā€™t nearly as good as the first movie, but it is still very good film with great 3D.


8. FRANKENWEENIE (2012)

This is a full feature length version of the Tim Burton short of the same name. This storyline is padded, but overall is very enjoyable.


7. DEAD BEFORE DAWN (2012)

This is a low budget zombie movie that is also a comedy. This Zom-Com has great 3D and is very funny. 


6. PARANORMAN (2011)

This is another Laika stop motion masterpiece. This is a great little spooky movie. This is something made for kids that adults will also enjoy.


5. THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS (1993)

This is a good 3D conversion of a modern Halloween classic. This movie is directed by Henry Selick, not Tim Burton with an excellent soundtrack.

4. CORALINE (2009)

This is a Henry Selick's adaption of the Neil Gaiman's story. This is a truly great Laika stop motion movie with great 3D. A perfect Halloween film that won't scare the little ones too much.

3. DARK COUNTRY (2009)

Thomas Jane stars and directs this quirky mystery thriller. This movie was actually filmed in 3D and it looks great in 3D. This movie has a riveting premise and is well worth hunting up a copy. 


2. THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON (1954)

This movie has the best underwater 3D photography (before Avatar 2 The Way of Water). Overall this is a good 1950ā€™s Universal monster movie.


HONORABLE MENTIONS


1. HOUSE OF WAX (1953)

The first 3D horror movie and the gold standard. This movie made Vincent Price a horror icon. Considered by many to be the greatest 3D movie ever made.
